Position Overview

The Part-Time Digital Communications Coordinator will coordinate NYC FIRST's online presence by creating and uploading content for social media platforms, updating the organization website, and circulating organization newsletters. This position reports to the Chief of Staff.

Key responsibilities include:

• Social Media Management:
  • Create and publish weekly social media updates
  • In coordination with the Chief of Staff, collaborate with team members to gather information and coordinate content
  • Work proactively to ensure updates in support of key program events are published in a timely fashion.
    
    
• Website Updates:
  • Update website content as needed, including staff bios, event listings, etc.
    
    
• Newsletters:
  • In coordination with the Chief of Staff and using existing templates, develop and distribute NYC FIRST newsletters.

‍Qualifications:

• Strong writing and communication skills
• Basic understanding of social media platforms and best practices
• Familiarity with design tools (Canva, Adobe InDesign) is a plus
• Ability to work independently, asynchronously, and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Interest in digital communication and storytelling
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

• Location: Remote
• Position Type: Part-Time, Hourly; Temporary‍
• Compensation: $16-$20 per hour, commensurate with experience‍
• Hours: Up to 10 hours per week
